「イ充つ」はイというしるしを人としてしるしていくプロジェクト。肖像画や人物像のように。
人はしるしの体系を広く用いている。しるしは意味と結びつく。人は自分自身にも意味を探そうとする。同じしるしも文脈によって異なる意味合いを示しうるように、人も人として共通性を持ちつつも、それぞれが多様な意味合いを示そうとする。
イはそれぞれに、共有された枠組みをなぞり、あるいは問い直し、作り変えさえしながら、自らの姿を、アイデンティティーを、違いを探っていく。そして、実在の実感を伝え、自らが生きた文脈における意義を見出すための無限の可能性を探る。

imitsu (イ充つ, or i fulfilling) is an art project which consists of drawing the sign イ(Japanese character notating the /i/ sound) as a recurrent motif representing a human being, as if it were a portrait or a human figure.
Humans make extensive use of sign systems, which are linked to meaning. Humans seek meaning, even in their own existence. As the same sign can carry varied meanings depending on context, individuals express themselves in their own way while sharing commonalities as humans.
Tracing, challenging, or even transforming the shared framework, each イ explores one's own figure, identity, differences, and infinite possibilities to communicate a sense of existence, to capture one's own significance based on lived experiences.
