I try to express myself with a sense of fluidity that transcends the concepts of figuration and abstraction. In the painting “Soup fur Soup,” I express a soup-like pictorial space in which all the materials that make up the universe are dissolved. First, I applied yellow, which is filled with light, and then applied a deep blue to the entire surface of the painting. Then, water droplets of purple, green, and other colors are scattered in the air, creating a rain-like pattern of spots. The artist released white particles of silica sand into the air, circling around the picture plane, and then struck them to fix their traces in the air. Hard particles float in the infinite depth and foreground of the universe. In the painting “Expanding Garden,” he first scorches linen and cotton fabrics with a gas burner flame, and then draws freely. The heat energy transforms the canvas, transforming it into a fluid, circulatory state. My creative theme is what a “place of emergence” looks like. In addition to paintings, I also create installations, outdoor works, and video drawings on the beach.
