日々の生活の中で感じる空虚さ、あるいは事物の無常さなど自身のリアリティから、人間とはどのような存在であるかについて絵画をはじめ、様々な形式を用いて表現している。また、制作過程やアイデア創出においては、壊す・作るということを繰り返し意識している。変化、変身、変容などをテーマに、生と死、人とモノ、自然と人工など作品の中で相反するものを混在させている。

Onishi uses paintings and a variety of other forms of art to express what it means to be human, drawing from his own reality, such as the emptiness he feels in his daily life and the impermanence of things.Also, in the production process and idea creation, I am repeatedly conscious of the idea of destroying and creating.With themes such as change, transformation, and metamorphosis, Onishi mixes contradictory things in his works, such as life and death, people and objects, and nature and man-made.
